On the morning of the last day of London Fashion Week 2026, Raw Mango made all heads turn. <\/em>The models \u2013 dressed in sculptural silhouettes that paired silk-like fabrics with plush necklines and sharp tailoring, complemented by diamond jewellery by Forevermark \u2013 walked down the runway to the sound of the markets that sell the very flowers that inspired the brand\u2019s Fall Winter 2026 collection, It\u2019s Not About The Flower.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The showcase, which\u00a0marked\u00a0Raw Mango\u2019s debut on a global stage,\u00a0focused on\u00a0the ubiquitous garland\u00a0which is a central part of everyday life in South Asia.\u00a0Be it\u00a0sculptural tops or reimagined sarees, the\u00a0collection\u00a0interrogates the notions\u00a0of value and beauty by incorporating the garland in ingenious ways \u2013 draped as sculptural tubes or pieced together as bouquets and wrapped around the neck and waist.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The brand is no stranger to questioning cultural mores via garments and objects.\u00a0Since\u00a0textile\u00a0designer\u00a0Sanjay Garg\u00a0founded\u00a0the brand\u00a018 years ago,\u00a0Raw Mango has\u00a0earned a\u00a0reputation for challenging convention and\u00a0rejecting stereotypes with its\u00a0form-based, contemporary\u00a0interpretations of\u00a0indigenous\u00a0fashion\u00a0that\u00a0draw\u00a0on aspects of local heritage,\u00a0history\u00a0and colour.\u00a0This new collection is born of that same rebellious spirit.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opulent garments and sculptural silhouettes offer interpretations of how a garland sits on the body, while the flowers themselves are constructed in non-traditional and silk-like fabrics \u2013 delicate arrangements on lightly embroidered brocades, rib-knit cottons, quilted rayon and wool felt.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While talking about the collection\u2019s emotional core, Garg draws attention to the\u00a0important role\u00a0that flowers play in South-East Asia and South Asia, citing India as a country of garlands. Here,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0never\u00a0just about one\u00a0individual flower, but about the plurality.\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With an audience that included artist Anoushka Shankar, former first lady of the UK Akshita Murthy, filmmaker Gurinder Chadha and artist Lubna Chowdhary, It\u2019s Not About The Flower<\/em> gave some of the most pre-eminent voices in fashion, business, entertainment and culture plenty to talk about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raw Mango was joined by Forevermark Diamond Jewellery by the De Beers Group as its jewellery partner, signifying a shared respect for provenance and craftsmanship, and adornment as an expression of individuality, culture and personal style. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
