Diamonds have long been equated with eternal love, power, sacred bonds and ceremonies. They have been revered not just for their one-of-a-kind beauty, but also for their timelessness. As some of nature’s most ancient storytellers, they bear witness to the majestic forces of the Earth that shaped them.
At the heart of every natural diamond lies a cosmic journey, brought to life in Voyage Through the Diamond Realm, De Beers’ immersive visual experience making its India debut at this year’s India Art Fair. Through mesmerising visuals, artful scenography and atmospheric soundscapes, the experience draws viewers into the epic odyssey of natural diamonds — a journey you have to see to believe.

From their birth as stardust to their discovery in rivers, deserts and ice, the experience reveals how diamonds have inspired the world’s most enchanting stories about life itself and our place in the universe. Shaped by the sheer power of the elements and carrying memories from the dawn of time, natural diamonds are some of nature’s most extraordinary works of art.
Just as diamonds are masterpieces of nature, human creativity too leaves its mark across time. In a dialogue between Earth and craft, De Beers collaborates with conceptual artist Lakshmi Madhavan (opens in new window), whose practice is rooted in kasavu, Kerala’s traditional handwoven textile, developed collaboratively with the weaving community of Balaramapuram.
Her works for Voyage Through the Diamond Realm explore adornment as a universal expression of creativity, from the first ornaments worn by the earliest people in Botswana to the intricately woven textiles of Balaramapuram. Madhavan’s work celebrates the continuity of human artistry across time.
The 2026 edition of India Art Fair runs from 5–8 February at the NSIC Exhibition Grounds, New Delhi. Tickets can be purchased online here (opens in new window).
