To celebrate his journey of grit and 360-degree brilliance, De Beers crafted a bespoke 21-carat natural diamond creation: a powerplay pendant strung onto a constellation diamond chain. More than just jewellery, the piece draws on Yadav’s life on the pitch, bringing together the worlds of cricket and natural diamonds. The result is a modern expression of masculinity, one where jewellery feels as personal and multifaceted as the people wearing it.

The pendant serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it doubles up as a marker of the greater cultural shift of men relating to jewellery in a way that they never have before. Secondly, it acts as a proud tribute to leadership, precision and the commanding spirit of the game of cricket itself.
A sculptural bat forms the anchor of the design, shaping its structure while celebrating the confidence of a true captain. Crafted in 18ct white gold and set with natural diamonds totalling approximately 9 carats, the pendant incorporates a harmonious interplay of natural diamonds where one half is illuminated in pavé, which brings to mind the collective energy of a team in motion, while the brushed gold surface reveals a singular solitaire, an abstract cricket ball.
Princess and baguette-cut natural diamonds line the length of the bat while custom triangular cuts help enhance volume while creating a sense of forward movement, a lot like the momentum of cricket itself. A total of 1,848 natural diamonds adorn the pendant and chain, a testament to De Beers’ meticulous craftsmanship. The chain encompasses over 400 handcrafted links, each set with natural diamonds; the overall piece amounts to 21 carats. Much like Yadav’s style of play, which is controlled and effortlessly refined, the piece exhibits a remarkable balance of strength and fluidity.
